Cozy up this fall with five great story hours throughout Brooklyn!

We all know how important reading is for developing brains–here are five story hours that we think your littles will love.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Crown Heights
Read garden-inspired stories alongside volunteers in the discovery garden. Drop in anytime during program hours to join in. Program runs through October (no story time 10/9).

Greenlight Bookstore, Fort Greene
Saturday Story Time is geared toward kids ages 3 to 8 and their families. Authors and illustrators of picture books often visit the store on Saturdays to read from their new books, and neighborhood performers or the Greenlight staff sometimes read as well. There are always great stories and often activities and crafts too!

Powerhouse on 8th, Park Slope
Hear a different author every Sunday and enjoy a craft following the reading.

Terrace Books, Windsor Terrace
Join the folks at Terrace Books every Sunday for story time and milk and cookies from Brunswick Cafe.

Stories Bookshop and Storytelling Lab, Park Slope
Story Time in the Storytelling Lab happens every Sunday morning, usually hosting an author or illustrator and a story-related activity.
