This holiday art fair at Hannah Senesh Community Day School features a variety of crafts and art workshops run by local artists and community organizations. Art workshops for the whole family. Everyone in the community is welcome.
Be The Light Chanukah Party & Toy Drive, Clinton Hill
Sunday, December 18
Celebrate the miracle of Chanukah in community, and bring gently used toys and donations to help Brooklyn children living in poverty. The party is FREE to attend and will have food, wine, crafts, games, a MAGIC SHOW for medium/ big kids, and a separate music/ story time for the little ones. Everyone is welcome.
Grand Army Plaza Menorah Lighting, Park Slope/Prospect Heights

Celebrate each night of Hanukkah at Grand Army Plaza with the lighting of the world’s largest menorah. Every night of Hanukkah, Grand Army Plaza showcases a 32-foot tall, 4,000-pound steel Menorah. Every evening, in addition to lighting the candles of the Menorah, you can enjoy some hot latkes, gifts for the children and live music. These events start at 6PM at Grand Army Plaza Brooklyn at the intersection of Vanderbilt and Flatbush Avenues and children of all ages are welcome.
Soil to Oil, Jewish Children’s Museum, Crown Heights

In this hands-on workshop, visitors will learn how olive oil is made using methods that have been around since Temple times. Participants choose the choicest olives, extract the oil, and finally light a Chanukah menorah using their hand-made wicks and freshly produced oil.
