BAMboo! at BAM, Fort Greene.
On Saturday, October 31, celebrate Halloween at this free event hosted by BAM. Kids of all ages will enjoy music, a bounce house, a costume contest, and more! The event will take place at the Peter Jay Sharp Building from 2-5pm.
Fort Greene Park Halloween Festival, Fort Greene.
This free event is perfect for children of all ages. On Saturday, October 31, from noon – 3pm, the green space at Fort Greene Park comes alive with horse-drawn hayrides, old-fashioned games, face painting, stilt walkers, roaming entertainers, a costume parade, a pumpkin patch with more than 1,000 no-cost gourds to give away. There’s even a costume contest for dogs… and their owners. Event will take place rain or shine.
Halloween Dance Party with the Brooklyn Doodles at Friends and Lovers, Prospect Heights.
Let’s Boogie! Join Brooklyn Doodles on Saturday, October 31, from 2-5pm for a Spooktacular Halloween Dance Party! Come dressed in your scariest, most creepiest costume and enjoy an afternoon of dancing, cupcake decorating, and good ole Halloween fun. Prizes for best kid costume, mommy and me costume, and freeze dance. Look out for a silly magician as he pulls tricks out of his hat. Each child will receive a goody bag to get a head start on Trick or Treat! This event is $25 per child and is for children ages 3 to 10 years old. Costumes required.
It’s Halloween with Lucy Kalantari at Shape Shifter Lab, Park Slope.
On Saturday, October 31, come in costume and celebrate Halloween with the whole family! Lucy will be performing new tunes from her next album including, “It’s Halloween!” Families can enjoy Halloween-themed beverages, dive into cauldrons of Goodie Girl Cookies and design magical masks. This event is for kids of all ages and takes place at ShapeShifter Lab, 18 Whitwell Place, Brooklyn, NY 11215 from 10:30am -12:30pm Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door (free for children under 2).
Puppetry Arts Halloween Carnival at First Street Recreation Center, Park Slope.
On Saturday, October 31, hit the First Street Recreation Center for games, crafts, a haunted house, a bouncy house, a costume contest and appearances by costumed characters. The event takes place from 11am – 3pm and the first 200 kids to arrive snag trick-or-treat bags filled with goodies. This event has free admission but there are fees for certain activities. All ages welcome.
Halloween Spooktakular, McGolrick Park, Greenpoint.
On Saturday, October 31, kids of all ages are invited to a free afternoon of Halloween fun. Face painting, pumpkin patch, a maze, games and more. The event takes place from 2pm – 5pm.
March to the Arch parade, Dumbo
On Saturday, October 31, join The DUMBO Improvement District at 4:30 PM for the annual March to the Arch parade (with Dumbo’s Great Small Works leading the march with puppets), a kids party under the Archway (with hot chocolate provided by Brooklyn Roasting) takes place from 5-7pm, and a pet costume event kicks off at 7pm. Look for other fun things like a photobooth (sponsored by Dumbo’s own Brooklyn Central), storytime, hands-on arts with Creatively WILD Art Studio, and beer, wine, and bites at the Archway Lighthouse. Storefront trick or treating, with 40+ businesses participating is from 4-7pm,
Halloween 313, Clinton Hill.
On Saturday, October 31, enjoy an elaborate FREE live show, performed on the front lawn of 313 Clinton Avenue. Every Halloween, the creative volunteers at this house (including lots of theater design pros) put on a one-night-only, one-of-a-kind, over-the-top creep show for all ages. This edition is titled Malice in Underland. Revelers come from all five boroughs to watch, so arrive early to snag your spot. Shows begin around 5 p.m. and run approximately every 30 minutes until 9:00
Speedy Romeo Halloween Party, Clinton Hill.
On Saturday, October 31, from 4pm-6pm, kids of all ages are invited to attend a free Halloween Party at Speedy Romeo in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Festivities will include a performance by Hopalong Andrew and pony rides!
Halloween Sing-Along with Amy Miles at Elk Cafe, Windsor Terrace.
On Saturday, October 31, join Amy Miles at ELk Cafe for a spooky sing-along and celebration. Costumes are encouraged. The event takes place from 3:30pm – 4:30pm and the cost is $10 per family.
