And, if you’re looking for some fresh air and a change of scenery Thanksgiving morning, the Prospect Park Turkey Trot is the perfect way to kick off your holiday. Runners and walkers gather in Prospect Park at 9 AM for this family friendly 5k road race. This popular event fills up quickly so it’s probably too late to register, but you can come out to cheer. Runners in turkey costumes and the like will delight children of all ages.
Even though you’ll probably be too full from your Thanksgiving feast to think about taking another bite, you won’t want to miss your chance to register for brunch with Santa. This annual brunch with Santa event doesn’t take place until Saturday, December 5th, but it sells out quickly! The event is held at at t.b.d. Brooklyn in Greenpoint. There are two seatings and the cost is $15 per person which includes yummy things to eat, music, holiday crafts and, of-course, precious moments with Santa. $5 Special price for infants under 12 months. Yummy holiday drinks at cash bar for moms & dads. Talented professional photographer Rebecca Black will be on hand to take pictures for purchase. And Queen Elsa may drop in for a special visit! Proceeds benefit Town Square & Brooklyn Boy Scout Troop 26.
