A Royal Shindig & Brooklyn Beanstalk, Brooklyn Bridge Park. A Royal Shindig guides interactive storytelling with your favorite fairy tale characters. Brooklyn Beanstalk will offer Circus in the Park, an introduction to circus activities for children and their families. Kids will also enjoy family-friendly activities with the Uni Project and Private Picassos at this Pier Kids event.

July 4th Festivities
Festival of Independence, July 4th at Peck Slip Stage, South Street Seaport. Live music with family entertainment including a performance featuring Clifford the Big Red Dog and Friends and The Marcus Monroe Juggling Show. Take the ferry from Brooklyn to avoid traffic!
Hot Dog Eating Contest, Coney Island. On July Fourth, the world’s top competitive eaters will gather for a chance to become a legend.
Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks, Viewing areas throughout Brooklyn including: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights and Brooklyn Promenade, East River State Park. The Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks over the East River begin at about 9:20. Come early and expect crowds.
Celebrate Independence Day at the Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park. Bring the kids to this free family event to celebrate America’s birthday. Look extra patriotic as you make yourself a plumed hat to wear while signing your own “John Hancock” on a reproduction of the Declaration of Independence.
