9th Annual Children’s Book Fair, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Heights.
On Saturday, November 14 The 1st Floor of The Brooklyn Museum will be showcasing your favorite Brooklyn authors and illustrators. This free event features storybooks, picture books, graphic novels and art activities for kids of all ages. The event takes place from 12-4pm.
John Samson Family Concert, The Brooklyn Conservatory, Park Slope
On Saturday, November 14, stomp, clap, tap, snap, and sing a little song with award-winning family performer Jon Samson, who recently received the John Lennon award for his original family music, as well as a Parents Gold Choice Award for “A New Kids Album.” This event starts at 3PM at The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music: 58 7th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11217
ACME Studio’s 4th annual Holiday Kid’s Photo Op, Williamsburg.
On Saturday, November 14, bring the kids to ACME Studio’s 4th annual Holiday Kid’s Photo Op and cross the holiday card off your list! This event is from 10 AM – 3 PM, but is first come, first serve with a $50 suggested donation to benefit City Santa. Enter the raffle for a chance at various door prizes from our sponsors. 3-5 photos of each family will be available via gallery link at ACMEBROOKLYN.com/kids2015. The link will go live about a week after the shoot! Families will be photographed in the order of arrival, no appointment necessary, but RSVP is strongly encouraged.
Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Crown Heights. On Sunday, November 15, celebrate Native American Heritage Month with BCM and the Thunderbird American Indian Dancers! Their performances feature a diversity of dance forms that reflect the group’s multicultural tribal membership. Through their performances and community outreach, they preserve American Indian culture while promoting understanding of their communities.
Astrograss for Kids Concert at Jalopy Theater, Red Hook/Carroll Gardens
On Sunday, November 15, ASTROGRASS FOR KIDS gets kids and their parents dancing together, with a unique blend of bluegrass music and down-home humor. Astrograss concerts feature sing-a-longs, dance contests, and high-energy fiddle hoedowns. Their original songs cover topics like spelling, whether Pluto is a planet, bedtime and the many neighborhoods of Brooklyn.
