The Small but Mighty Hootenanny benefit concert with Pete Sinjin, the Bell House, Gownanus. Join local hero Pete Sinjin and his House of Song for a visionary, all-ages songfest to celebrate and stand for peace, justice, and love. All proceeds will be donated to organizations fighting climate change, protecting civil rights, and assisting refugees.

Brooklyn Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 2017, BAM, Ft. Greene. New York City’s largest public celebration in honor of iconic civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. returns to BAM for the 31st year. This free event brings world-renowned activists, intellectuals, and civic leaders together with musicians, poets, and other performers to honor King’s legacy and keep his message alive.
Freedom Songs and Stories with Tammy Hall, Lefferts Historic House, Prospect Park. A masterful storyteller, Tammy Hall weaves together diverse tales from around the world to create a rich experience for all at this free event.
