Kick off Brooklyn Pride with a 5k in Prspect Park, followed by a street festival on 5th avenue and a twilight parade. Also check out Drag Queen Story Hour – Pride Edition at the Park Slope Public Library, Saturday at 11am.“Bring the Cool” Family Festival, Brooklyn Museum, Prospect Heights
Kick off the summer with a free interactive festival for all families, filled with imaginative activities, hosted in partnership with Cool Culture and P.S. 1 Elementary School. Get inspired by the theme “Color My World” with live music and performance, an interactive gallery scavenger hunt, special family tours, a P.S. 1 student art show, and colorful art-making activities.

World Refugee Day Festival, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Park Slope
Live kids’ music, a drumming demonstration, Zumba dance-along, face-painting, crafts, pizza and more. Proceeds will benefit a new fellowship which will provide professional development to recently resettled musicians and music educators.

BRIC Arts Family Day, Gallery at BRIC House, Fort Greene
Join some of BRIC’s Teaching Artists for an imaginative adventure in art-making! There will be tours of the exhibition and media center, digital animation, printmaking, screen printing, refreshments, and more!

Free Family Art Day, Canarsie Library, Canarsie
Free Family Art Days are opportunities for families to play, imagine, and explore through a variety of different art forms.  Each month Spellbound Theatre storytellers present crafts, songs, stories, and creative play around a theme. No need to RSVP, just drop in!

Summer of Love with Pink Mammoth & House of Yes, Vander-Ende Onderdonk House, Queens

Check out this two-day dance party extravaganza with a stellar lineup of DJ talent. Bringing their infamous Playa vibes to the East Coast, this pink-and-gold-fueled party headlined by Marques Wyatt and Eduardo Castillo alongside many more top artists will see the grassy outdoor private park transform into a pink and gold colored wonderland.

Dinosaur Day at Triassic Playground, Flushing Meadows Corona Park, Queens
