Hands-on stations throughout the garden’s meadow, woodland, and marsh habitats and in the vegetable garden encourage families to explore nature together. Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale, this innovative theater piece takes children on a voyage of discovery through landscapes of Shakespeare’s imagination and the music of his language. When a shepherdess and her flock of little sheep discover a lost baby, the audience must join in the search for the child’s family, a journey that will take them through the forest and across the sea. Full of scents, textures, colors, and songs, this immersive sensory experience is sure to delight and inform younger audiences about the power of their own imaginations. Ages 2-5.

For this big spring kick off event, come over to Albee Square to enjoy a performance with Tim Kubart, Grammy Award-winning entertainer for all ages, followed by double dutch jump roping, live music, games and free giveaways.

Spring Civic Sweep, Park Slope
Make a clean sweep of your neighborhood by joining the Sustainability Committee of the  Park Slope Civic Council at its annual spring beautification, recycling and clean-up event. Join other volunteers in picking up litter on sidewalks, participating in
the care of street trees, as well as painting out graffiti, supervised by adults.
