Kite Festival, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights. Watch your kite soar above the Manhattan skyline at this annual festival! Kites will be available for purchase or you can bring your own. Don’t miss this magical free event, fun for all ages.

Jazz Festival, Fort Greene Park, Fort Greene. Come and have fun at the 7th Annual Fort Greene Park Jazz Festival. Bring the family and listen to free music performed all afternoon by Eric Frazier and the Jazz Masters!

Southwest Brooklyn Fall Festival, Columbia Street and Union Street, Carroll Gardens/Red Hook/Columbia Waterfront. Enjoy live performances, children’s activities, local artists, and more!

Songs For Unusual Creatures, Barbes, Park Slope. Author and composer Michael Hearst, along with his five-piece band, presents Songs For Unusual Creatures: a highly-geeky A/V presentation of some of the most bizarre animals that roam the planet. From the Australian bilby to the deep-sea magnapinna squid, to the microscopic tardegrade, the creatures are brought to life with such odd-ball instruments as theremin, claviola, daxophone, and stylophone. Fun for the whole family! Grab a pint for yourself and enjoy. Event begins at 4pm but come early to get a seat!


Sing-Along with Lisa Loeb, Brooklyn Bowl, Williamsburg. The Rock and Roll Playhouse presents Camp Bowl, a family sing-along with Lisa Loeb. She’ll be performing songs from her latest album Nursery Rhyme Parade!

Milk and Cookie Story Hour, Terrace Books, Windsor Terrace. This Sunday morning story time is made even sweeter with cups of cold milk and giant chocolate chip cookies. The treats are not just for the children! Stories begin at 11 AM.
