Welcome, winter! It’s time for indoor playgrounds!


The cold weather has officially set in and we are looking at least three months of winter. Stay calm–there is no shortage of indoor play spaces in Brooklyn!

Open Play at Curiosity on Court, Cobble Hill.
This indoor play space is for ages one and up. From a climbing wall to a pretend subway ride, a magnetic wall to a multi-level play structure, there’s hours of fun for everyone. 278 Court Street, between Douglas and Butler.

Indoor Playground at Prospect Park YMCA, South Slope.
In this motor development open play setting, children up to 4 years of age spend their time exploring, climbing, balancing, building and so much more all while socializing with fellow kids. Ticket required, available 30 minutes in advance. Free for members; $13 for non-members. 361 15th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues.

Open Play at Giocare Play Spot, South Slope.
This bright, clean play space has plenty of natural light and a view of Slope Playground, so you almost feel like you’re outside! 655 6th Avenue (corner of 18th Street).

Drop-in Play, BAX, Park Slope

Explore tunnels, create funky rhythms and dance with scarves! 421 Fifth Avenue
